Getting Conscious for Venus Retrograde in Scorpio/Libra 03 Oct to 13 Nov 2026

As we will experience Autumn 2026, it will be a powerful time that will have us in a more than resounding request to honor reflection in our continuing 10/1 Universal Year of New Self-Reliance for Humanity’s Fortune. 

Unlike her neighbor Mercury, it’s been awhile since our Idealist planet took some necessary time off. The last Venus Retrograde cycled 01 March to 12 April 2025 in Aries/Pisces.

Upon 03 October 2026 in Scorpio at 3:16amEDT, the next cycle of review and redo commences for Venus that will conclude 7:27pmEST upon 13 November 2026 in Libra: within 6 hours after Mercury Retrograde turns Direct in Scorpio. If you are familiar with Mercury Retrograde, you already understand all too well the kinds of things that can happen under an inner planet retrograde. 

What makes a Venus Retrograde different from Mercury Retrograde?

Mercury makes things move, communicate, permanently change, blossom, think and energetically circulate.

Both Venus and Mercury are inner planets, so when their Retrograde passages occur (Mercury every 3 months; Venus every 18 months; approximately) we are highly advised to take caution initiating our plans for long term success -personal or business wise- concerning what they are ultimately in charge of.

Being reflection, research and review are in order during these timeframes- initiating important plans under retrogrades to ensure seamless future harmony and balance are best to be avoided during them. 

Navigating Venus Retrograde in Scorpio, 03 to 25 October

It is more than fair to say as Autumn 2026 is experienced, it will gravely call to take heed of our Scorpio and then Libra areas of life. Venus on a normal journey through Scorpio enjoys passionate, investigative, extravagance, deeply sensed and purifying energy, yet we’ll find, these qualities are not so readily available as she’ll be under review. 

While any retrograde energetic pace seeks careful planning, Venus in backtracking in Scorpio tends to react in jealous, self-indulgent, secretive, possessive, and dissipated outcomes: where her innate seeking harmony “like normal” will be more difficult to reach. 

Navigating Venus Retrograde in Libra, 25 October to 13 November

As Venus switches reflective gears, the grave call shifts to take heed of our Libra area of life. Venus on a normal journey through Libra enjoys tender, easily-expressed, harmonious, simplistic and graceful energy, yet we’ll find, these qualities are not so readily available as she’ll be under review. 

Venus in backtracking in Libra tends to provoke reactions that witness false charms, injustice, misunderstandings, legal flaws, and unhealthy co-dependence: where her innate seeking harmony “like normal” will be more difficult to reach. 

However, we one chooses to have properly prepared to honor reflection, and Never Compromise Living Consciously, they can avoid becoming overwhelmed by a Retrogrades’ energetics.

Preparing for & Recovering from Venus Retrograde

Like a Mercury Retrograde Approach, there is an Approach period allowing us to properly prepare for Venus’s reflection, which spans 30 August to 03 October. The Approach is always a “preview of Retrograde coming attractions” as the planet crosses over moving forward, the exact degree point it will backtrack to. 

We’ll start to notice as Venus begins her Approach crossing over 22 degs Libra upon 30 August, existing matters will begin to alert us to take care of them if we do not wish to have complications concerning them during the Retrograde. Therefore, utilizing the Approach to prepare is key. 

The Shadow period allows us to properly correct and natural errors made during Venus’s reflection, allowing us to move forward from 13 November to 16 December. However, this Venus Retrograde Shadow will be “tricky” during two other inner planet cycles in play: Mercury’s Shadow through 29 November and the Approach to Mars Retrograde, 04 November to 10 January 2027.

Shadow periods typically channel the opportunity to “iron out the recent retrograde wrinkles” until the planet crosses over, moving Direct, the exact degree point is starts retrograding upon. Should important decisions simply had to happen by no other choice under Venus Retrograde -and in this case under Mercury Retrograde as well- the timeframe to straighten things out more amicably offers itself until Venus reaches 08 degs Scorpio again by 16 December.

Venus enters Sagittarius

As we move forward each and every day within our lives, there’s always one planet from above that -no matter what challenges may be within the present moment- is able to help us assimilate value into what the experience is showing us. Harmony is always possible down here below because of her never-ending idealism and innate gift of seeking balance. Do you know about Venus and her amazing abilities?

Venus was transiting at ‘The Trusting Lambs’ 28 degree Scorpio towards the “tipping point” before changing signs as the world became aware of the aggressive actions that occurred in the USA in Newton, CT and in Beijing, China upon 14 December 2012. Finishing up her transit within the sign of death and rebirth since 21 November, these last degree points are often times when planets offer up the most critical advice to keep in mind. As the world mourned upon 15 December -at the 29 degree of Scorpio- she asked us to remain in ‘Grace Under Pressure.’

Now in Sagittarius until 08 January 2013, our Idealist asks for the collective to take up in full aims of seeking the truth; targeting honesty; recognizing generosity and practicing it; cherishing what value still remains half full and continue to build from there. Try to refrain from tactless and blunt methods of affection which this sign is always receiving the bad rap for. Venus enters Libra

Venus now finishes her visit with The Virgin, where she has been offering up pleasantries here in Virgo since 03 October. As she moves forward into Libra, she is more than right at home where The Scales balance it all out in your Zodiac Pie. Until 21 November, it’s time to enjoy the harmony that ideally should display itself within this area of the life.

Remember all the new beginnings that formed from the last New Moon in Libra 15 October?  You’ll find there will be even more beneficial ways to weigh the pros and cons of situations being freshly planted. With all the intensities arising from other areas of the Zodiac, look to Libra for your serenity and peace of mind. What is truly meant to be given that GREAT TRUE ATTITUDE of GRATITUDE for the genuine value already here?  See what kinds of reflective energies come through 09 November as Venus trines Retrograding Jupiter in Gemini at 14 degrees- who seeks to provide some channels of review and redo between these two areas of the life. Be ready for permanent changes to unfold.

Changes will be ongoing for this entire pass as Mercury Retrograde will be taking up in backwards motion 06 November, but this will be no time to remain in indecisive energies from The Scales perspective. By 15 November, just past our next New Moon and Solar Eclipse in Scorpio, our Idealist will have reached the 22 degree Libra New Moon 2012 mark, ultimately shedding some layers of light into what initiations have been springing up here. As always, make sure you do not legally sign or decide upon situations of true importance for long term success until after Mercury has gone Direct 26 November. As Scorpio continues to deeply transform us all, this pass of Venus in Libra still allows the collective’s affections to easily engage in sociable, charming, and dignified energies- encouraging peaceful outcomes.
