Venus enters Cancer

Venus has taken quite a long stay with the energy of The Twins since 03 April. As she retrograded here in Gemini from 15 May to 27 June, now she is in true forward motion again as she takes up some time where The Crab resides within the Zodiac Pie. The collective can expect cherishing moments, devoted affections, with plenty of time spent eating well and doting upon the domestic life. Romantic ideas fill the healthy imagination with gentle and susceptible sensations; while clinging, smothering and overly sentimental energies are best to steer clear of through 06 September.

Take a peak at your Cancer piece of your Zodiac Pie to anticipate some harmonious flows wishing to find outlets to grace this area of the life.  Venus is known as one of our benevolent planets, and even when she retrograded earlier this year, she gently asked for review where it was necessary. It is no mystery that the energies of a square aspect via astrology can certainly be felt within our collective soul’s consciousness, and we have one now that fully engages from above that promises to bring forth some intense changes down here below throughout early 2015.

The “hype” of this astrological alignment has been buzzed about in the past few weeks as the square began to form at the 08 degree of these two cardinal signs in early June. Yet, the “dance” of this energy will be happening numerous times until the 15 degree of Aries and Capricorn in the next couple years. The official kick off initiates 24 June at 5:12am EDT/2:12am PDT as the first Direct Square occurs.

The Times Are Gonna Change (Slowly, & Unexpectedly)
This becomes a passage when the understanding how to properly utilize our free will is more important than ever. While squaring off energies are typically viewed as challenging, blocking and hard- there is the opportunity from Aries and Capricorn to examine how these two areas of the life are ideally meant to take on more determination and spiritual energy through the strengthening of the will. One of the most significant outer planetary shifts since Uranus entered Aries in 2011, Neptune now returns to its’ comfort zone at home with The Fishes. Aside from the little “taste” of this energy from April to August in 2011, the collective has not seen Neptune at 0 degrees Pisces since 07 December 1848, where it transited until 14 February 1862.

Bet now that the Christmas crunch is over, you are moving forward to think about how to bring better energy into your new year. What other way do we typically do this than decide to make some resolutions within our lives as we are about to enter 2014?When looking to the very word of resolutions, we see that it carries a name expression via Chaldean Numerology of the 46. Breaking it down to the 10’s The Wheel of Fortune, we find we are, when making them, at the very root number of the 1.

Sometimes, one just has to be in complete appreciation how the Universe truly does hold the wisdom in separate pieces for us all to put together. After all, if we didn’t have puzzles to figure out in life, how in the world would we ever learn anything? Rudolf Steiner mentions, after we spend time in a form of meditation, just how beneficial it is for us to leave that practice with the sense and awareness of what gratitude means within our lives for our spiritual paths to become more fulfilled.

So too do the Chaldeans -when looking to the very same word gratitude- understand that the energy behind it requests a soul to not only spend some time in meditation, but with the self in solitude to bring out those ideas that will more often than not, have a profound affect upon the world around them.

Remembering Al Hirschfeld

We take pause today to remember another Grand Gemini, Al Hirschfeld. Known for over an incredible 80 year career of capturing the life and times of celebrities throughout the 20th century with the simplicity of ink on paper, there is no question how Hirschfeld became appropriately titled, ‘The Line King.’

Born in St. Louis to the last licks of 29 degree Gemini Sun in 1903, Albert Hirschfeld was gifted right from the start. Even though Al was distinctly known through his caricatures, he did begin his art enthusiasm through the mediums of painting and sculpture alongside the obvious knack of his intimacy with the line in his drawings.

Before a life-long artistic career while residing in New York City, Hirschfeld studied in Paris. Like many extremely talented souls who achieve greatness in their field, Al possesses an auspicious astrological aspect called the grand trine within his natal birth chart. Grand trine??? You might be saying… what on earth does that mean? Umm… do I have one of those?

Although Hirschfeld’s time of birth is not exactly known, one can still determine from the date of birth the placement of each of his planets in the signs they were in when he first drew breath upon 21 June, 1903. Within Al’s personal “universal photograph” we can easily determine a distinct connection between three of his planets: Mercury, Mars, and Saturn- representing his thinking/mentality, drive, and self-reliance, respectively.

For Al, these planets sit in the three Air Signs, as trine essentially means things of the same element, with a different task at hand.
