Taking time alone is a genuine gift to embrace within any life, in essence it is our souls’ true lifelong homework. When we choose to engage in our own personal sharpening of the inner saw, some amazing things can happen for us. Yet, why are so many people seemingly afraid of being alone in this day and age?

By definition, Solitude can mean:
1. the state of being alone, separated from other people, whether considered as a welcome freedom from disturbance or as an unhappy loneliness

2. a quality of remote quietness or seclusion in places from which human activity is generally absent

3. a remote or uninhabited place

What some people -based on a programmed belief that allows them to fear being alone- completely miss when they deny themselves this healthy time to clear out within their lives, is actually the perfect chance to create some real enchantment for themselves. We all face them. Life is not complete without this word that seemingly in the end, truly does make us stronger. So exactly what is behind the energy that our world consistently faces and more often than not, overcomes?

Happy New Year Buddha!

Since 1873, all East Asian countries celebrate Buddha’s birthday upon the 8th day within the 4th month of the current Chinese lunar based calendar -unless you live in Japan. This date, of course will vary from year to year, but more often than not, Buddha’s birth right is honored under the sun sign of Taurus. 10 May 2011 marks the 8th day of the 4th month since we began the New Year of the Metal Rabbit, 3 February 2011.

While the actual year he was born in some 2500 years ago remains uncertain, he was in fact born to the name Siddhartha Gautama, as a Prince. It is interesting to note Siddhartha carries the meaning “he who achieves his aim.”

The definition of this noun is known to be via Webster’s as: “The quality or state of being still; quietness; silence; calmness; inactivity.” Be honest, when was the last time this sincerely happened to you aside from the act of going to sleep every night?In our current world of media crazed, internet overload, technology upgrades, and waste accumulating faster than the earth can handle, it would be of tremendous benefit for humanity to become sincere friends with stillness. Like the Mayans deeply understood long ago, the pace of the human race is so sped up, stillness is likely to become a very popular word in our future.

Some people, adhering to Webster’s definition, may believe being in stillness brings them “nothing.” What good can possibly happen in silence and inactivity except boredom? One might even ask, how does it make any sense that growth or learning can occur here?

It is now the time of year for Pisces, when the collective swims with the endless possibilities of The Fishes. As a whole each one of us are presented with making decisions in life, thus choosing one of two conceivable outcomes. More often than not, the important choices we make, offset a chain of events that will further unfold within our lives.So how can Pisces help us? Think of their symbol the fish, as they swim in the myriad of choices within any given ocean. How do you think they make the right choices for themselves, in the course of nature? The Fish, as do many of our animals and any non-speaking living being, keep it real simple. The Fish takes in a LISTEN to know what to do.

Listening is a skill that we are introduced to learn early on in our lives, and it is one skill that carries on through the end of any life. While we are told to be SILENT, we are in essence being ask to LISTEN. You really can’t really do one without the other.

Pisces time is the one time of the year we are in the midst of becoming fully prepared for Spring’s arrival, as we awaken from our states of hibernation. Being in a LISTEN to winter’s exit and spring’s preview can be a remarkable experience. How often can you look around and say you are absolutely SILENT?

Remembering Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

As we take pause to remember in 2026, ninety-seven years ago in 1929, Dr. King was born upon January 15th. His initiation to earth instilled his heart to be naturally guided by the accountable leadership sun sign of Capricorn, coupled by the 15’s Karmic Path known as The Magician.
